Hi everyone,

I hope this finds you hale and hearty!

In case you didn’t get a chance to download my free report, “Do
Men Get Yeast Infections”, I’ve put the link right here:

Do Men Get Yeast Infections?

Today I wanted to tell you about something very disturbing I ran
across when I was doing research for this report.

There is a very invasive form of yeast infection called Systemic
or Chronic Candidiasis.

By definition, systemic means:

In medicine, systemic means affecting the whole body, or at least
multiple organ systems. It is in contrast with topical or local.

Systemic disease: an illness that affects multiple organs,
systems or tissues, or the entire body. Candidiasis is listed
under systemic diseases.

(Source: Wikipedia – the free Encyclopedia)

What it does is spread out, usually from your intestional tract
or lungs, to your whole body via your bloodstream.

Numerous studies have shown that when this happens, it can lead
to other health issues as diverse as fibromyalgia, gout,
arthritis, and even heart disease.

All this was bad enough. . .

But, when I read that it can spread to your brain and impair
brain function. . . that really scared me.

I have more fear of losing my mental facilities than I do of
losing a body part! (But, that’s just me! LOL)

So, I wanted to pass this information on to you and stress how
important it is to take any yeast infection – external or
internal – serious.

I will be writing a more in depth report on Systemic Candidiasis
in one of my future reports.

Until then. . .

To your health,

Renée

Hi Everyone,

I found this in my inbox the other day and thought I would share it with you. What do you think about this sad state of affairs? Let’s talk about it. . .

Claiming Water Prevents Dehydration Could Land You in Jail!

by Robert Redfern, your personal health coach.

Dear Reader,

I found this in a Health Sciences Institute e-Alert and think it is important to make sure you get it. It is another example of the creep of nazi style bureaucracy sweeping the natural health world in every country. Read to the bottom and click the link.

Take good care of yourselves

Robert Redfern, Your Personal Health Coach

HSI e-Alert

The end of April is getting very close… and for many this will have little significance besides the fact that the May Bank holiday means yet another great long weekend…

For those of us fighting the corner for alternative medicine, 1 May 2011 will mark the beginning of the most stringent laws against herbal remedies and natural medicine ever to be enforced across Europe.

Under these laws (Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products Directive or THMPD), a traditional herbal medicine must be able to prove that it’s been used for 30 years in the European Union (EU) – or 15 years in the EU and 15 years elsewhere – for it to be licensed… If it can’t, then it won’t be licensed and it will be illegal to sell! This is very bad news indeed for the thousands of Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine remedies countless people rely on.

Draconian gagging order

Our regular readers will know that we’ve been campaigning relentlessly against these draconian measures over the past two years. Our viewpoint has always been that this clampdown on alternative and natural medicine is not just a travesty of justice but also a massive intrusion on one of our most basic human rights – the freedom to choose how we want to take care of our own health.

Sadly, many people out there still feel it is necessary to regulate all forms of medicine.

Fair enough. However, these rigid laws will reach much further than simply regulating the supplement market and herbal remedies… they will eventually regulate the food you and I put in our mouths.

Think I’m just scaremongering?

What if I tell you that the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) – tasked with evaluating all health claims regarding food in the EU – is now set to ban anyone from claiming that drinking water can help prevent dehydration!

It is completely absurd I know, but it’s true and it is happening.

Not so controversial claim

Everyone knows that drinking water prevents dehydration and maintains bodily performance… it’s basic common sense.

Or not?

Recently, two German professors stated the following in a proposal submitted to the EFSA: “regular consumption of significant amounts of water can reduce the risk of development of dehydration and of concomitant [subsequent] decrease of performance”.

Nothing wrong with that, right?

Unless you happen to be one of the mad scientists at the EFSA that is. According to them, it’s a disease-specific health claim, and much as drinking more water will reduce the risk of developing dehydration, this is simply a measure of water depletion and not of avoiding disease risk.

Yep, the highly educated scientists working at the EFSA said with a straight face, “the proposed claim does not comply with the requirements for a disease risk reduction claim”. By doing so they have branded one of the most fundamental truths on our planet as unspeakable, because under the guidelines of these new laws no one is allowed to make any false health claims about any products – whether it is a herb, supplement or food!

Earth under siege

If you think you are safe from these rigid laws just because you live outside of Europe, think again… especially if you live in the US.

The bureaucrats at the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are powering up to “protect consumers” against false claims made by non-drug treatments too!

In the past few months the FDA has taken actions that severely limit access to intravenous ascorbic acid (IAA), a proven cancer-fighter that has been shown to neutralize virtually any pathogenic organism.

Recently we also told you about a small US pharmaceutical company, Upsher-Smith, that’s been gagged by the FDA from quoting medical studies in their marketing of SLO-NIACIN – a sustained-release supplement which helps reduce the warm, tingling effect that niacin supplements can sometimes cause.

The studies Upsher-Smith referenced in their marketing material have all been published in major medical journals. Yet, the public is not allowed to know about their findings… especially because it is in favour of a 100 per cent natural substance, niacin!

Quiet revolution

We strongly urge you to help us fight these stringent laws and to ensure that the legacy of natural and alternative medicine remains unscathed by the EU and US bureaucrats.

Reading our alerts and giving our efforts the thumbs-up, simply is not enough anymore.

So, please help us spread the word and speak out before it is far too late. The Alliance for Natural Health (ANH), along with their director Dr. Robert Verkerk, is leading the way in getting the word out about the problems caused by the THMPD, and its implementation by the UK and Belgian governments in particular.

The ANH have targeted different groups in different ways, including practitioners, retailers, consumers, manufacturers and, of course, members of the European Parliament from a variety of EU Member States.

How Long Will the Candida Die Off Symptoms Last?

After you begin your yeast free diet plan, you will probably experience candida die off symptoms, which will vary according to the size of your yeast overgrowth. Sometimes the die off will only last a few days, sometimes longer, and what it means is that the detoxification of your body is working. That’s a good thing.

Remember, you are starving the yeast of the sugars they love to eat and they will start to die. When a lot of yeast die at the same time, an immune reaction sets in. The symptoms of the yeast intolerances you are trying to get rid of may become more intense and it’s even possible you may develop new symptoms.

Here is a list of some typical candida die off symptoms:

Lightheadedness

Headache

Unclear thinking

Depression

Fatigue

Emotional over-reactions

Flatulence

Bloating

Diarrhea

Joint and Muscle Pain

Constipation

An achy body

Throat pain

Sweating or chills

Nausea

Skin Problems

Just be patient and remember that this is only temporary. As with any detox program, your body has to flush out the toxins. It will pass.

Here are some tips to help you get through this stage more easily:

1. Drink a lot of water, If you can, switch to alkaline ionized water, also known as water hexagonal. In any event, you should be drinking half your body weight in ounces of water each day, if not more. So, if you weigh 100 pounds, you should drink 50 ounces of water daily. This helps flush the toxins out of your body.

Soaking in the tub with epsom salts helps relieve candida die off symptoms

2. A good soak in the tub with a cup of Epsom Salts and high quality Celtic Sea Salt will do wonders for your detoxification and help alleviate your candida die off symptoms. Make the water as hot as you can and soak for about 20 minutes. This will go a long way to help draw out the toxins in your body. (Pregnant women should not do this.)

3. Exercise. It’s good for you even when you’re not experiencing health problems, but when you are trying to detox your system from a yeast overgrowth, exercise is one of the best things you can do. For one thing, it makes you sweat, which eliminates a lot of toxins through your skin. And it gives you more energy and keeps your mind clearer so you are motivated to keep going.

4. One of the most important things to do is to stay on your diet for candida. If you eat foods high in sugar or carbohydrates you will just be feeding the candida albicans as you are trying to kill them. This will make your candida die off symptoms worse and they will last longer.

5. It is very important to rest when experiencing candida die off symptoms. Get an adequate amount of sleep each night and try to keep your life as stress free as possible.

6. You have to keep your bowel movements regular. If you are constipated, drink a large glass of warm water as soon as you get up and before you go to bed at night. If you still have a problem, take a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil several times a day, on an empty stomach.

Conclusion

These steps should help minimize your candida die off symptoms and get you on the road to health and vitality in no time at all.

He gives a good definition of insulin sensitivity. As you know, an inbalance of the “good bacteria” in your system can lead to a yeast intolerance.

Much of what you have probably heard about diabetes from your health care provider may be incorrect. There is an enormous amount of misinformation circulating from seemingly knowledgeable sources about this epidemic disease.

The vast majority of diabetics are clueless about how to reverse it, and many don’t even realize that they can. They believe their fate has been sealed and all they can do now is “control” it. More than 50 percent of type 2 diabetics are also not even aware they have diabetes.

Diabetes rates for both adults and children are climbing out of control and one in four Americans either have diabetes or pre-diabetes. Unfortunately, by following conventional medical advise, you could be putting yourself on the path toward life-threatening health problems—and even premature death.

We are in the Midst of a Diabetes Epidemic

The latest statistics indicate the U.S. now has up to 24 million people with diagnosed diabetes, which is 8 percent of our total population. However, the picture is even grimmer when it comes to the prevalence of pre-diabetes (impaired fasting glucose).

Almost 26 percent of U.S. adults over the age of 20 and more than 35 percent of seniors (age 60 and older) are pre-diabetics. In total, that’s 57 million Americans walking around with pre-diabetes, in addition to the 24 million who have already crossed the line.

That means more than one in four Americans has either pre-diabetes or the full-blown disease! Not only is type 2 diabetes completely preventable, it is usually curable if you are willing to make some simple, inexpensive lifestyle adjustments that will restore your insulin and leptin sensitivity.

Diabetes, Type 1 and Type 2: What’s the Difference?

Diabetes (also known as diabetes mellitus) is a chronic condition traditionally marked by high levels of glucose in your blood (high blood sugar).

Type 1 is called insulin-dependent diabetes (also known as juvenile onset diabetes), and Type 2 is called non-insulin-dependent diabetes (or adult onset diabetes).

Type 1: “Insulin Dependent” Diabetes

In Type 1 diabetes, your body’s own immune system destroys the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas, resulting in a complete deficiency of the hormone insulin. This deficiency of insulin is why Type 1 is called “insulin-dependent”—because more often than not, Type 1 Diabetics must give themselves supplemental insulin.

Type 1 is relatively uncommon, affecting only about 1 in 250 Americans. It usually occurs in people before the age of 20. There is no known cure.

However, recent research has shown that our preoccupation with sun avoidance may play a major role in the development of type 1 diabetes. The further you move away from the equator, the greater your risk for this disease.

Women can help reduce their children’s risk of type 1 diabetes by optimizing their vitamin D levels prior to, and during their pregnancy as vitamin D has been shown to suppress certain cells of the immune system that may play a role in the development of the disorder.

Type 2: “Non-Insulin-Dependent Diabetes”

Type 2 diabetes is by far the more common form of the disease, affecting 90 to 95 percent of diabetics, and is completely preventable and nearly 100 percent curable.

If you have type 2, your body is producing some insulin but is unable to recognize insulin and use it properly.

This is an advanced stage of insulin-resistance.

Since your insulin is inadequate, sugar can’t get into your cells and instead builds up in your blood, causing a variety of problems. This is why diabetics have elevated blood sugar levels.

Symptoms of type 2 diabetes include:

Excessive thirst

Extreme hunger (even after eating)

Nausea and possible vomiting

Unusual weight gain or loss

Increased fatigue

Irritability

Blurred vision

Slow healing of wounds Frequent infections (skin, urinary, vaginal)

Numbness or tingling in hands and/or feet

Medications and supplements are NOT the answer for type 2 diabetes; restoring your sensitivity to insulin and leptin is what’s needed.

Diabetes is NOT a Disease of Blood Sugar Diabetes is a disease of insulin and leptin signaling, not a disease of blood sugar, which is why the medical community’s approach to its treatment is not getting us anywhere.

In addition to diabetes, elevated insulin levels are associated with a number of diseases, including:

Heart disease

Peripheral vascular disease

Stroke

High blood pressure

Cancer

Obesity

Diabetes, like all chronic disease, results from cellular miscommunication.

Leptin: Is It the Missing Link Between Obesity and Diabetes?

Leptin is a hormone produced in your fat cells.

One of leptin’s primary roles is regulating your appetite and body weight. It tells your brain when to eat, how much to eat, and most importantly, when to stop eating. And leptin tells your brain what to do with the energy it has. Leptin is largely responsible for the accuracy of insulin signaling and whether or not you become insulin resistant.

The only known way to reestablish proper leptin (and insulin) signaling is through proper diet.

When your blood sugar becomes elevated, insulin is released to direct the extra energy into storage. A small amount is stored as a starch called glycogen, but the majority is stored as your main energy supply—fat.

Therefore, insulin’s major role is not to lower your blood sugar, but rather to store the extra energy for future times of need. Insulin’s effect of lowering your blood sugar is merely a “side effect” of this energy storage process.

This is why diabetes treatments concentrating merely on lowering blood sugar can actually worsen, rather than remedy the actual problem of metabolic miscommunication.

Taking insulin is one of the WORST things you can do for type 2 diabetes, since it will actually worsen your insulin and leptin resistance over time.

Fructose—One of the Major Culprits in Obesity and Diabetes

The presence of massive amounts of fructose in today’s Western diet is a driving force behind our diabetes epidemic.

Regular table sugar is 50 percent fructose and 50 percent glucose, and the two are metabolized very differently. Nearly every cell in your body was designed to use glucose for energy—especially your brain cells—but fructose breaks down into a variety of toxins that can have devastating effects on your health.

Fructose has the following adverse metabolic effects:

Fructose does not stimulate a rise in leptin, so your satiety signals are suppressed.

Fructose raises your insulin and your triglycerides, which effectively reduces the amount of leptin crossing your blood-brain barrier. This interferes with the communication between leptin and your hypothalamus. Your brain senses starvation and prompts you to eat more.

Fructose does not suppress ghrelin like glucose does. Ghrelin is the “hunger hormone,” making you want more food.

All of this also sets the stage for overindulgence and hence overweight, placing you on the path toward diabetes.

I strongly advise keeping your total fructose consumption below 25 grams per day.

However, it would be wise for most people to limit fructose to 15 grams or less as it is virtually guaranteed you will be getting “hidden” sources of fructose from just about any processed food you eat.

This includes fruits, which also need to be carefully measured to make certain that you’re not inadvertently going over the fructose limit. For a helpful chart listing the fructose content of several common fruits, please see this previous article.

Diabetes Drugs Miss the Mark, and are Dangerous

Regardless of what you may have heard, you cannot successfully treat the underlying cause of diabetes with drugs.

For example, consider Avandia.

Avandia works by making diabetes patients more sensitive to their own insulin, helping to control blood sugar levels. In fact, most conventional treatments for type 2 diabetes utilize drugs that either raise insulin or lower blood sugar. Avandia, for example, reduces your blood sugar by increasing the sensitivity of your liver, fat and muscle cells to insulin.

The problem is, diabetes is not a blood sugar disease, as I have already explained. So, drugs that focus on the symptom of elevated blood sugar, rather than addressing the underlying cause, are doomed to fail in most cases.

Not only that, but drugs like Avandia have dangerous side effects, including causing extensive heart problems that have killed literally thousands of people. In fact, Avandia has been linked to a 43 percent increased risk of heart attack and a 64 percent higher risk of cardiovascular death compared to patients treated with other methods!

The good news?

Nearly 100 percent of type 2 diabetics can be successfully cured without medications.

Preventing or Reversing Diabetes in Six Simple Steps

Here are my top six actions to take for increasing your insulin and leptin sensitivity, thus reducing your chances for developing diabetes—or reversing it if you already have the disease:

1. Exercise

Exercise is an absolutely essential factor, and without it, you’re unlikely to get this devastating disease under control. It is one of the fastest and most powerful ways to lower your insulin and leptin resistance.

If you’re unsure of how to get started, I recommend reviewing my exercise program for tips and guidelines. It is also critical to work your way up to include some Peak 8 exercises.

2. Eliminate Grains and Sugars, Especially Fructose

A large reason for the failure of conventional diabetes treatment over the last 50 years has to do with seriously flawed dietary recommendations. Fructose and grains are largely responsible for your body’s adverse insulin reactions.

You will want to eliminate ALL sugars and grains—even “healthful” grains such as whole, organic or sprouted ones. This means avoiding all breads, pasta, cereals, rice, potatoes, and corn (which is in fact a grain).

You might even need to avoid fruits until your blood sugar is under control.

3. Eat Right for Your Nutritional Type

Exercising and avoiding grains and sugars might not be enough unless you balance your protein, carbohydrate and fat ratios for your specific genetic biochemistry. The first step is finding out your nutritional type, which then gives you information about your optimal protein/carbohydrate/fat ratio. I now offer the full nutritional typing program for FREE, so you can get started today!

4. Monitor Your Fasting Insulin Level

This is every bit as important as your fasting blood sugar. You’ll want your fasting insulin level to be between 2 and 4. The higher your level, the worse your insulin sensitivity is.

5. Optimize Your Vitamin D

Interestingly, optimizing your vitamin D levels not only treats type 2 diabetes but as already mentioned, can virtually eliminate your children’s risk for type 1 diabetes if you are pregnant. It’s also vital for infants to receive the appropriate amounts of vitamin D in their early years for the same reason.

Ideally, you’ll want to do this by exposing a large amount of your skin to appropriate amounts of sunshine (or a safe tanning bed) on a regular basis, year-round. Your body can safely create up to 20,000 units of vitamin D a day by direct UV exposure. If you are not getting regular sun exposure on large amounts of your skin you may need anywhere from 5 to 20,000 units of oral vitamin D3 per day.

However, if neither of these options is available, you may want to use an oral vitamin D3 supplement. But remember, if you choose to take an oral supplement, it’s essential that you get your level tested regularly by a proficient lab to make sure it’s in the therapeutic range, which is 60 to 80 ng/ml.

6. Probiotics

Your gut is a living ecosystem, full of both good bacteria and bad.

Multiple studies have shown that obese people have different intestinal bacteria than lean people. The more good bacteria you have, the stronger your immune system will be and the better your body will function overall.

Fortunately, optimizing your gut flora is relatively easy. You can reseed your body with good bacteria by eating fermented foods (like natto, raw organic cheese, miso, and cultured vegetables) or by taking a high quality probiotic supplement.

What Causes Candida Die Off Symptoms?

When you begin to successfully eliminate excessive candida albicans from your system, they will begin to die and turn to toxins that must be flushed from your body. This can result in what is known as candida die off symptoms.

Sometimes there are more toxins produced than your body can efficiently off-load and, as a result, you experience candida die off symptoms similar to your initial symptoms and sometimes they can be even more severe than your original candidiasis symptoms.

This is necessary and natural. If the system you are using to kill off the excess yeast from your body is doing it’s work, you will have toxins to flush and, if they are more than your system can handle, you will have candida die off symptoms. There’s no way around it.

The good news is that this “Herxheimer” response (a reaction that causes an intensification of symptions right before your health begins to improve), is short-lived. It can last from a few days to a few weeks, but you can lessen the severity of your candida die off symptoms by following this detoxification method to speed things along.

How Can Essential Oils & Aromatherapy Help Candida Die Off Symptoms?

Essential oils are the concentrated essences of flowers, fruits, herbs, and plants, and have been proven to be extremely potent when used medicinally.

Is YOUR Water Hexagonal?

Hexagonal Water helps clear up your yeast intolerances

If it’s not, it should be! Water hexagonal, also known as alkaline water, is the water our bodies are mainly made up of when we are born. It puts our bodies in an alkaline state, which is the healthiest state our bodies can be in.

As we grow older, we eat acidic foods, drink “regular” water (unstructured molecular structure or pentagram molecular structure) which makes our systems acidic and prone to aging and all sorts of diseases.

The hexagon structure of the molecules of hexagon water are smaller and form clumps of just six molecules, not ten molecules per cluster like the penta water or worse, unstructured water. These smaller clumps travel through our systems faster and more efficiently, reaching into our very cells and flushing out wastes and toxins completely.

How Can Water Hexagonal Help MY Yeast Infection?

What does this have to do with a yeast intolerance? For starters, a lot of the symptoms that are associated with a yeast intolerance, such as fibromyalgia, depression, weight gain – and recent research even links hexagonal water with helping children who are autistic – are made better in an alkaline state.

Tell me more. . .

Hexagonal water (alkaline water) is so much better for your overall health if your body is alkaline instead of acidic. When you have a sugar and/or yeast intolerance, your alkaline/acid balance can be over acidic. This is not good when your health is “normal” but when you are having a yeast intolerance problem, it’s especially bad.

When your body is in an alkaline state, it sets up hostile conditions for such things as cancer cells, molds, bacterias, viruses, and candida albicans. It’s very important to keep your body alkalized.

Candida die-off information

When you start to drink water with a hexagonal structure, and follow a yeast free diet plan, you will be killing off the candida albicans overgrowth and the little “yeasties” will rush to leave your body, causing you to experience candida die off symptoms. These symptoms can be the same, or even worse, than the original candidiasis symptoms you might have experienced.

This is called the Herxheimer reaction – the worsening of symptoms before any improvement is felt. It passes quickly, and once all the excess excess yeast is eliminated from your body, you will feel wonderful – energized and healthy.

Don’t Stop Drinking Hexagonal Water!

It’s very important for your overall health to keep drinking alkaline water after your yeast overgrowth has cleared up. For one thing, you can begin adding the foods you eliminated back into your diet and you will want to be very careful of how you respond to these foods. Drinking hexagonal water can help you keep your body in an alkaline state and may prevent a reoccurence of your candidiasis overgrowth.

How Can I Make My Own Hexagonal Water?

You can do this by buying a water vortex machine which will turn your water into hexagonal water.

It’s very easy to do from home. There are many machines that can do this – some are cheap (remember, you get what you pay for!) and some are overly expensive. Here is the one I use and recommend – from Amazon:

Systemic candidiasis symptoms are hard to diagnose as they mimic other conditions. A good diet for candidiasis is the only natural remedy to eliminate yeast intolerances
Can You Recognize Systemic Candidiasis Symptoms? is a post from: Yeast Free Diet Success!

What are Systemic Candidiasis Symptoms?

Systemic candidiasis symptoms from yeast intolerances are similar to the symptoms of several conditions. In fact, your doctor may not even consider the fact that you have a candida yeast overgrowth if you don’t have something like thrush or a genital yeast infection, conditions that are more commonly associated with candidiasis.

Systemic candidiasis, also known as chronic candidiasis, happens when your immune systems is weak. The beneficial bacteria in your system, usually maintained by your immune system, is not able to fight off the candida albicans. As a result, a yeast overgrowth begins.

And even if you are diagnosed with, for example, a vaginal yeast infection, your doctor will probably treat it with a fungal cream, which will just mask the symptoms, or with antibiotics.

Of course, the problem with antibiotics is that they will just make the overgrowth worse because the antibiotics will kill all the beneficial bacteria in your stomach, leaving more room for the yeast to grow!

Here are some systermic candidiasis symptoms

Excessive gas whenever you eat foods with sugar

Tiredness after you eat

Stomach bloat

Ulcers in your mouth

Bad breath

Skin disorders and rashes – like psoriasis and eczema

Clogged up nasal passages

A coated, or “furry” tongue

Frequent or unexplained mood changes

Cravings for sugar-laden foods

Low blood glucose levels

Indigestion

Achy joints or pain similar to arthritis/gout

The only way get rid of these, and many more, problems is to eliminate the candida albicans in your systems and the most successful way to do this is with a diet for candidiasis, sometimes called an elimination diet.

The elimination diet, which we touched upon in a previous article (along with two articles with some delicious recipes) means you must eliminate from your diet all foods that contain yeast.

If you follow a good candidiasis diet, and find yourself improving, but not completely getting rid of all these annoying systemic candidiasis symptoms, you may want to consider expanding your elimination diet to include all wheat products, not just those for yeast intolerances.

Stick to yeast free diet plan for at least three months, even though you may start to find some relief from your systemic candidiasis symptoms after just three weeks.

After you have successfully eliminated all the candida albicans overgrowth in your system, you can start to gradually – one by one – add back into your diet the foods you have eliminated. Just pay attention to how you feel.

In fact, it is a very good idea to keep a food journal before you even start to eliminate “yeastie” foods from your diet. Keep track of what you eat and how you feel afterwards.

A Special Food Journal

As you progress with your diet for candidiasis, you will be able to look back and see what improvements have been made. And, when you start to add foods back into your diet later, you will have written documentation about which ones caused your yeast intolerances and which ones didn’t.

Your journal can also help you identify if perhaps wheat and/or gluten are also problems, not just yeast. This can give you a headstart on eliminating those products from your diet and give you a custom yeast free diet plan to return your body to energetic and vibrant health, free of systemic candidiasis symptoms.

Candida Diet Recipes are NOT Hard to Find – or Make!

Sometimes it can be frustrating when you go through your recipe box and cookbooks and you discover how many recipes actually use foods that promote yeast intolerances. Your selection of candida diet recipes may be limited.

However, most recipes can be adapted and you can end up with a great collection of yeast free recipes.

When you are ready to begin your diet for candidiasis, the first thing you will probably do is go through your kitchen and get rid of everything that doesn’t fit into your yeast free diet plan. Once you see what you have to work with, your creativity will take over. It’s really not that hard to create your own candida diet recipes.

Candida Diet Recipes to Start Your Collection!

Here are a few recipes to get you started. A Semolina Flat Bread recipe that can be used in a variety of ways (as long as you aren’t wheat intolerant also), a delicious Shirred Egg recipe for breakfast, Split Pea Soup for lunch, and a delicious Chicken Stew for a hearty and heart-warming dinner which can be served with, or over, the Basic Brown Rice.

Rice Can Play a Big Role in Your Candida Diet Recipes

—–

Semolina Flat Bread

This is a great addition to your collection of candida diet recipes as it can be used in many ways in the place of yeast breads. I love to use them for Chicken Tacos! Yumm!!

Ingredients:

3/4 cup whole wheat flour

3/4 cup semolina

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 cup cold water

Directions:

1. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl

2. Gradually add enough water to make a soft dough

3. Knead in the bowl about 8 minutes

4. Shape the dough into a ball, in the bowl, and cover with a clean damp towel

5. Let it rest in a warm (74 – 80 degrees F) draft free place for 5 minutes

6. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces, about 2 ounces each

7. Place the balls on a board or counter top sprinkled with semolina

8. Flatten each ball with your fingertips and, using a rolling pin, roll each ball into a circle 6 1/2″ in diameter

9. Over medium heat, preheat a heavy skillet or griddle

10. Bake the breads one at a time. Keep the ones you aren’t baking covered with a damp cloth so they don’t dry out

11. Bake each bread until the bottom is lightly golden, about 1-1/2 minutes, and you can see bubble on the top.

12. Turn over and bake until lightly browned, about 10 seconds.

13. Removed to a towel lined platter to keep warm and pliable

These are great and can be used in many different ways. If you want them more crispy, don’t cover them in a towel after you have baked them.

—–

Shirred Eggs

Ingredients:

2 eggs, from free range chickens, organic if possible

1 1/2 tbsp finely diced fresh tomatoes

1 1/2 tbsp finely chopped green onions (white & green parts)

2 tsp extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Extra Virgin Olive Oil to coat baking dish

Equipment:

1 small saute pan

1 small oven-proof baking dish

1 baking sheet

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F

2. Heat oil in pan, add onions and tomatoes, season with salt and pepper and saute for 1 – 2 mins

3. Turn off heat and set aside the pan

4. Rub the evoo all over the inside of the baking dish

5. Crack one egg into the dish

6. Season with salt and pepper

7. Add sauteed onions and tomatoes

8. Crack the other egg into the dish

9. Season again with salt and pepper

10. Place the dish onto a baking sheet

11. Slide into oven

12. Bake for 20 mins

—–

Split Pea Soup

A wonderful, warming comfort food and a basic addition to your candida diet recipes

Ingredients:

1/2 cup split peas

1/2 onion, finely chopped

Salt to taste

Directions:

1. Sort the peas and rinse well in several changes of water

2. Place in a sauce pan and cover with water

3. Bring to a boil and skim off all the foam

4. Drain, rinse, and repeat steps 2 and 3

5. Add the onion and salt and 3 – 4 cups of water and pressure cook for 15 minutes

6. Cool slightly and drain off any excess water, reserving for later

7. Blend in a blender until very smooth and strain through a chinois or fine strainer

8. Return to heat in a small saucepan and simmer gently for about one hour, removing all foam as it forms; adjust water as necessary

9. Adjust seasonings

10. Serve sprinkled with extra virgin olive oil and cayenne pepper to taste

—–

Chicken Stew

A true “comfort food” and a great addition to your candida diet recipes that can be adapted depending on the vegetables in season

Ingredients:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into pieces

1 potato, peeled and cut into pieces

1 onion, diced

1 stalk of celery, diced

1 carrot, peeled and cut into pieces

1 tomatoe, chopped

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions:

1. Saute the chicken pieces in a little extra virgin olive oil in a medium sized pot

2. Add the remaining ingredients and about a quart of water – enough to cover the ingredients

3. Simmer for about an hour, keeping an eye on the level of the broth. Add more water as needed.

4. When all the vegetables are tender, let the liquid reduce as much as you like

5. Adjust the seasonings and enjoy!

—–

Basic Brown Rice

A basic that can be changed by the addition of many different ingredients. Use it in your favorite Mexican Rice recipe and your taste buds will rejoice!

Ingredients:

1 cup raw brown rice

2 cups boiling water

1 tsp salt

Directions:

1. Boil the water in a medium saucepan.

2. Add the rice and the salt. Stir.

3. Bring rice to a boil.

4. Reduce to a simmer and cover.

5. Cook for 45 minutes.

If you have a rice cooker and prefer to use it, follow the directions for brown rice that came with your cooker.

OK, that’s a small start to help you create your own candida diet recipes. They’re fun to create, tasty, and better for your health and the health of your family.

You Need a Good Diet for Candida to Win This Fight!!

In moderation, fruit can be part of a healthy diet for candida

If you want to rid your body of a candida albicans overgrowth, you will need to adopt a very specific diet for candida for a few short weeks. An elimination diet is the natural treatment when your body has produced too much yeast.

This candidiasis diet will eliminate all foods that feed the “yeastie beasties” and cause them to multiply. Instead, they will be starved out.

What Foods Cause a yeast intolerances?

Here are some of the foods and food groups you must stop eating as part of your diet for candida:

1. Sugar is the favorite “fuel” for yeast. Candida albicans feed off of sugar, no matter which kind – high fructose corn syrup, maple syrup, white sugar, brown sugar, honey, molasses – all are favorites of candida albicans. When you put these products into your body, a feeding frenzy begins and the yeast multiply quickly. Read labels and don’t eat anything that contains any of these products.

2. White refined flour and any food high in simple carbohydrates turn into sugar quickly and feed the yeast. These products include all bread products, rolls, cookies, pastries, pretzels, etc.

3. Alcohol
Yeast + sugar = alcohol

When candida albicans flourish, your body increases it’s production of alcohol. As a result, there is a toxic by-product of alcohol, called acetaldehyde, that can be produced by the body.

Your liver, already overloaded in it’s efforts to detoxify all the toxins the candida albicans releases each day, becomes over-stressed by the alcohol.

4. Foods that are made with vinegar, such as mayonnaise, salad dressing, BBQ Sauce, mustard, pickled foods.

5. Fermented foods such as sauerkraut and cider.

6. ”Moldy” foods such as cheese, dried/smoked/picled meats, cured meats such as bacon, mushrooms, PEANUTS, Pistachios, soy sauce, Miso, Tamari, tempeh, pre-packaged herbs, prepackaged teas, and canned tomatoes.

7. Avoid soft drinks like the plague, as well as high sugar drink mixes, fruit juices and the following fruits which contain concentrated sugar: dates, prunes, figs, citrus fruit, grapes and raisins, and especially dried fruit.

Well, What Can I Eat?

Good question!

Here are some suggestions:

Most vegetables, especially the dark, leafy green type

Any kind of beans

Beef, poultry, fresh/uncured pork

Fish and shellfish

Eggs

Whole grains – barley, millet, couscous, buckwheat, brown rice

Whole grain oatmeal and pastas

Unprocessed seeds and nuts

Unrefined vegetable oils (the kind that you have to refrigerate)

How Long Must I Stay on This Diet for Candida?

Well, some people can start reintroducing the “forbidden” foods back into their diet in as short as three weeks, but an average of three to six months is probably more accurate.

When you do feel that most of the excess of candida albicans have been “starved” and left your system, introduce the foods you love the most slowly, one at a time, and pay attention to how they make you feel. If your candidiasis symptoms begin to return, drop the offending food and return, briefly, to your diet for candida.

Why would you want to bake a wheat free cake?

It might be important to your health to learn how to bake a wheat free cake. There are many different types of food intolerances that can hamper your ability to bake a good cake. Wheat, gluten, and yeast are intolerances that relate to baking and sometimes they go hand in hand. It is not unusual to have a couple of food intolerances at the same time and it’s not unusual for someone with a yeast intolerance to also have a wheat or gluten intolerance as well.

In this article we will address the problems of a wheat intolerance. Wheat intolerance symptoms can include diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, stomach aches, flatulence, as well as many other problems.

What can you do if you experience the symptoms of a wheat intolerance and want to fix the problem naturally?

First, realize that if you are intolerant to wheat, you can still eat many other types of grains and flours, such as barley and rye. As long as the flour doesn’t contain wheat, it is safe to eat. This is, of course, assuming that you don’t also have gluten or yeast intolerances.

What is the first thing to do? Find a flour or flour combination that uses flours that don’t contain wheat. There are many celiac blends that are good for this and that use a combination of flours.

A yeast intolerance is one of the four main food intolerances – yeast, gluten, lactose, and fructose. The yeast in our bodies, which is usually beneficial, is called Candida albicans. Yeast intolerances to the candida albicans yeast in our bodies occur when there is an abnormal growth of this yeast creating much more than we need. This condition is called Candidiasis.

There are many reasons these yeast intolerances happen. Stress, birth control pills, poor diet, antibiotics, and a weakening of the immune system are just a few of the causes.

Diet plays a big roll in fighting a yeast intolerance also. Candida albicans yeast feeds on the sugars in our bodies, so the more food we eat that contains sugar, or converts quickly to sugar, the more fuel we are giving the yeast to eat and multiply.

What are Some Symptoms to Look For?

Here is a partial list:

Abnormal cravings for sugar and sweet foods

Headaches

A bloated stomach

Flatulence

Unusual changes in your mood

Diarrhea

Furry tongue, or thrush

Mouth ulcers

Chronic skin conditions

Hypoglycemia

How Can a Yeast Intolerance be Treated at Home?

A good candidiasis diet plan can be used to successfully treat candidiasis at home without medical intervention. If you stop eating the foods that promote a yeast overgrowth, you can eliminate the overgrowth. You can easily follow a yeast free diet plan and “starve” the candida albicans yeast, which would cause them to die off and flush out of your system.

Some of the foods you must temporarily eliminate from your diet are the following:

Anything that contains yeast, such as bread and alcohol

Cheese

Yogurt

Coffee and tea or anything else with caffein

Fermented food

Vinegar

Anything with lots of sugar

Sodas

Watch Out for Candida Die Off Symptoms!

One thing to be aware of as the yeasts die are the Candida die off symptoms. The yeast has been feeding on the sugars in your body for a long time and now you are starving them – and they are dying. The symptoms you have been experiencing may become worse for a short period of time. This stage will pass quickly and you will begin to feel new health and energy as your body returns to a normal balance.

After two or three months, you can begin to gradually add the foods you have had to eliminate due to your yeast intolerance back into your diet. It would be best to add them back one at a time and be aware of any symptoms that might occur.

You need a good yeast free diet plan to overcome yeast intolerances

A simple yeast free diet plan can help you overcome the symptoms of a yeast overgrowth and bring you relief from your discomfort. Since yeast is the culprit, you will need to learn more about what it is exactly and where it lurks in your foods.

What is yeast?

Yeast is a general term that includes unicellular – usually oval – nucleated fungus that reproduces by budding. Instead of dividing in half, the mother cell develops an outgrowth or “bud,” and the “daughter” bud separates from the mother cell. Individual daughter cells develop at different positions on the cell wall of the mother cell and then move on.

Wherever the yeast cells congregate, they live in a living community of one-celled microorganisms. They are plants that attach themselves to benevolent hosts, such as humans, in order to feed and reproduce. Not only is there yeast in the foods we eat, but wild yeast is all around us.

For example, the fine white film you see on the surface of fresh grapes is yeast, and is important to the fermentation of the grapes that turns them into wine. They especially thrive in an environment high in sugar, and will constantly eat and reproduce given the right nourishment.

You must avoid bread if you have yeast intolerances

Whenever I wanted to check the efficacy of my yeast when baking bread, I would dissolve a little of the yeast in warm water with a pinch of sugar. After waiting five minutes, the yeast would bubble up and foam so I knew it was “alive” and OK to use.

What are the Health Benefits of Yeast in our bodies?

Candida albicans is a genus of yeast that everyone has inside and outside of their bodies. We require small quantities of yeast to maintain a normal digestive system. Normally, our immune system and our body’s good bacteria keep Candida in check. We never have to give it a thought.

But, when Candida isn’t kept in check – when we develop an overgrowth – then it results in a series of health problems and a yeast intolerance can develop. The result is a yeast infection known as candidiasis or candidosis.

Women, Men, and even children of any age can get a yeast infection, which can occur in several different places in your body. In children yeast infection can occur, for example, as a diaper rash.

Once we have a Candida overgrowth that results in a yeast infection, we have to kill all the excess Candida to get rid of the infection. One way to do this is by following a yeast free diet plan, which is basically an elimination diet – eliminating all foods that contain yeast from your diet.

What are Food Intolerances? vs. Allergies?

There is a big difference between a food intolerance and a food allergy.

If you have a food allergy, such a to peanuts, you will have a quick response by your immune system to the invasion of the peanuts. Symptoms and signs of the allergy are very quick, usually immediate, and very dramatic. In severe episodes, it can result in an anaphylactic shock with requires emergency treatment.

A food intolerance occurs when the body cannot process certain foods. This, also, is a response by your immune system.

What Are the Different Food Intolerances?

There are four different food intolerances: fructose malabsorption, lactose, gluten, and yeast.

In most of these intolerances, the gastro-intestinal tract cannot produce the specific enzymes to break down the foods normally so the food journeys through your system, unprocessed, or stays in the stomach and ferments, causing, among other problems, excess gas. This partial digestion of partially processed sugar and protein in your blood can cause an inflammation and disturb your bodily functions.

Approximately 1 out of every 3 people have a food intolerance, compared to about 1% of the population who have food allergies. Unfortunately, not too many people realize they are intolerant to certain foods and, if this condition is left untreated, they can become ill.

What causes a yeast intolerance?

As we learned above, a yeast intolerance occurs from a Candida albicans overgrowth which, in turn, results in candidiasis. A few of the causes might include stress, poor nutrition, a hormone imbalance, taking too many antibiotics, and birth control pills just for starters. If you don’t eat foods that contain beneficial nutrients, your immune system can weaken and won’t be able to handle the toxins the overgrowth of Candida produces.

What are yeast intolerance symptoms?

Here are some Candidiasis symptoms which can be eliminated by a good yeast free diet plan:

Flatulence after eating any sugary food

Fatigue after eating

Stomach bloat

Mouth ulcers

Bad breath

Skin disorders, such as psoriasis and eczema

Nasal congestion

Furry tongue

Mood swings

Sugary food cravings

Hypogycemia

Heartburn or over- acidity

How can you be certain you have a yeast intolerance?

The best way to determine if you have a yeast intolerance is to get tested. Your doctor can advise you on the best test to determine if you are suffering from yeast sensitivity.

Here is a “home” test you can try: take a glass of clear water and spit into it. Soon you will see the growth of white fluffy yeast or turbidity in the clear water. If you see either of these, get yourself medically tested, and don’t rely on just this home test.

What is a good yeast free diet plan if you have a yeast intolerance?

The only way to eliminate the symptoms of yeast intolerance is to follow a yeast free diet plan until the problem has cleared up. Then, you can slowly, one food at a time, start re-introducing your favorite foods back into your meal plan once the balance of candida and beneficial bacteria has been normalized. This usually takes about three months – but can be sooner – before you should start introducing the “forbidden” foods back into your diet.

Just following a bread free diet or learning how to bake a wheat free cake isn’t sufficient because yeast can be found in many other foods. This means eliminating cheese, yogurt, caffeine, fermented foods like sauerkraut and pickles, vinegar, especially anything with loads of sugar, sodas and other sweetened sugary drinks, anything that contains yeast, alcohol, and so forth, from your diet as a starting point.

Any fruits high in fructose or products containing high fructose corn syrup should be removed from your kitchen. High fructose corn syrup is worse for your health than plain sugar. Yeast feeds on sugar so it is especially important to avoid anything with any type of sugar.

An excellent way to determine which foods you should avoid is to keep a Food Journal. Write down everything you eat and how you feel later. This will go a long way towards identifying which foods are causing your problems and which are not.

How Long Should You Stay on a Yeast Free Diet Plan?

As mentioned above, it’s probably going to take 2 – 3 months to clear up your system, depending on how advanced the Candida overgrowth is.

Once you start on a yeast free diet plan, you may experience candida die off symptoms, which will vary depending on how extensive your overgrowth is. Sometimes it will only last for a day or two, or even up to a week, but it means the detoxification of your body is working, and that’s a good thing.

Remember, you are starving the Candida of the sugars they have been eating and they will start to die. When this happens in large quantities, an immune reaction sets in and the symptoms you are trying to get rid of may temporarily increase or you may even experience new symptoms.

Here are some of the candida die off symptoms:

Lightheadedness

Headache

Unclear thinking

Depression

Fatigue

Emotional over-reactions

Flatulence

Bloating

Diarrhea

Joint and Muscle Pain

Constipation

An achy body

Throat pain

Sweating or chills

Nausea

Skin Problems

Just be patient and remember that this is only temporary. Just like any detox system, your body has to go through a period of flushing out the toxins. It will pass.

What About Hexagonal Water?

It so much better for your overall health if your body is alkaline instead of acidic. When you have sugar and/or yeast intolerances, your alkaline/acid balance can be over acidic. This is not good when your health is “normal” but when you having a yeast intolerance problem, it’s especially bad.

When your body is in an alkaline state, it sets up hostile conditions for such things as cancer cells, molds, bacterias, viruses, and candida. It’s very important to keep your body alkalized and drinking this water can play an important role in your yeast free diet plan.

You can do this by buying a water vortex machine which will turn your tap water into hexagonal water. I will talk more about these amazing machines in a later article, but here is the one I use and recommend:

Conclusion

As we age, we are more likely to develop yeast intolerances, as well as other foods. If you already have kidney, lung, liver problems or heart disease, any food intolerance may worsen these conditions.

Do other members of your family have any food intolerances that you know about – or symptoms of a possible food intolerance? If so, this is not unusual because food intolerances can be genetic and can pass on from generation to generation. It is easy to design a good yeast free diet plan for the whole family.
